Hair fashion
I have been a hair stylist for a little over 10 years. I have had many people say, "Do hair products really matter?" My answer is YES! However, the brand is important. It doesn't matter whether the product is expensive although the product I love the most does happen to be on the expensive side. It is most important to understand how to use a product properly because some times when it's a good product a little goes a long way.
Shampoos, Conditioners, and Masks
I love ALL things Kerestase! I put the two I use, on here, but they have numerous options depending on your hair needs. There are a few of Wella's shampoo's that I like both for my hair and for the smell! The shampoo I listed on here is new and smells amazing. It is great for light hydration. Obliphica is a brand I just recently discovered. I was walking the aisles of Armstrong and McCall (a beauty store for licensed professionals only) and I smelled something amazing. So I set out to discover where the smell was coming from. I found the obliphica shampoo and conditioner and decided to give it a try. It smells wonderful and it is a great moisturizing shampoo and conditioner however, not enough moisture for me.
Styling Products
Styling products make a big difference! From start to finish you need to make sure you are giving your self a good base for both healthy hair and workable hair. Maybe it's just the Texas-girl in me but I love volume in my hair. I put the three volumizing mouse that I love. There are many out there but these are my favorites. Next you need some sort of styling creme. Whether you need help taming fly-aways or you want hair with movement a styling creme helps keep the hair healthy. Most styling cremes have a heat resistant in them so they protect the hair from blow drying, curling, flat ironing, or any other heated tools you use on your hair. Once you've styled your hair you want to set the style with a great hair spray. Whether you want a light, medium, or the Hard Head spray from Bed Head which will guarantee your hair will not go any where!
